As an artist it is important to get feedback on your work, and see if you are on the right track. It is also an opportunity to meet experts, such as a curator, a gallerist, or a publisher, who may be interested in supporting your career through an exhibition or other opportunity.
In fact, a one-on-one portfolio review — whether with me, or through other programs — is one of the best and fastest ways to get your art in front of industry experts.
Why Get a Portfolio Review?
Professional feedback is key for any visual artist, regardless of medium. A Portfolio Review provides an opportunity for you to improve your craft and help you grow as an artist.
After reviewing your work – depending on where you are with your practice or career – I will provide personalized guidance on areas for further development as well as referring you to art world professionals you might potentially connect with, such as curators, publishers or gallerists.
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
- If you are local to Los Angeles, the portfolio review can be held at my gallery, your studio or another suitable location.
- If you don’t live in the Los Angeles area the review can be arranged online using Zoom, a video platform that allows for me to view your work via camera, almost as if I was there in person. All you need is a smartphone or tablet device that can be connected to a WiFi connection.
